Verbier Bike Park

Location

The town of Verbier is located in a beautiful south-facing high-alpine bowl in the French-speaking Valais canton of Switzerland, in the heart of the European Alps. In the winter, it's one of the largest ski resorts in the Alps while in the summer many of it's lifts run for mountain bikers including the 150-person Jumbo tram and Mont-Fort tram that goes up to 3,330 meters (10,800 feet). While you can't ride from Mont-Fort, you'll have 360-degree views of the Alps and even see the Matterhorn on a sunny day. In Verbier you'll wake up to jaw-dropping views from your hotel window of the Grand Combin massif at 4,314 meters (14,154 ft) on the Italian border, and Mont Blanc in France, the highest mountain in the Alps at 4,810 meters (15,782 ft). During the day we'll stop for lunch and snacks at the many quaint chalets high on the mountain.

What's the Riding Like?

Verbier Bike Park is a hybrid bike park with new machine-built tracks for all levels or riders littered with berms, drops and wall-rides, to barely-ridden backcountry descents that weave through towns and take over an hour to descend to high alpine double track roads.
