Canada mountain bike adventure

First stop is bike-crazy Whistler with its vibrant village, beautiful lakes, endless singletrack and much more. Then we're off to Squamish located on Howe Sound with its artfully built trails beneath a rainforest canopy and riding culture that's reached cult-like status. Next stop is semi-arid Pemberton with its loose dirt and eclectic population of farmers, First Nations and quirky locals. Then we head further north to the crown-jewel of the Sea to Sky region, the South Chilcotins Provincial Park. Here we'll hop in a seaplane and fly to a pristine lake for an epic two-day backcountry ride in a staggeringly beautiful and remote area. On this adventure we'll spend a night at a remote camp called Bear Paw. This seven-day trip is lead by professional local leaders that'll uncover the regions true riding gems.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ride Whistler Valley.

Ride action-packed Whistler on an incredible network of singletrack built by mountain bikers.

Day 2: Ride amazing Squamish.

Ride nearby Squamish and its endless web of celebrity status hand-built trails. Hang on tight!

Day 3: Ride Whistler, transfer to Pemberton.

Out the door for some Whistler valley singletrack, then we transfer 20 minutes to Pemberton for another lap.

Day 4: Ride Pemberton. Transfer to South Chilcotins.

Get dirty in Pemberton on swooping singletrack littered with natural features and stunning views of Mount Currie. This afternoon we'll transfer to the South Chilcotins.

Day 5: Fly to Lorna Lake. Ride to Bear Paw camp.

Load bikes in a float plane and fly to an alpine lake in a pristine landscape. Ride to Bear Paw camp for the night, in the middle of the mountains.

Day 6: Ride to Tyaughton Lake. Transfer to Whistler.

Big ride today in amazing landscapes to Tyaughton Lake. This afternoon we pack the truck and transfer to Whistler for last night festivities.

Day 7: Return to Vancouver Airport. Farewell!

Return to Vancouver Airport for your flight home, or extend your trip in Whistler. Bon voyage!

Fitness

Level 2

Exercise 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes or more. Are comfortable with sustained output at athletic pace with occasional short anaerobic periods. Can ride 4-6 hours per day for 2-4 consecutive days and are comfortable pushing and hiking with the bike for sections.

Technical

Level 2

Have been mountain biking for at least one year, can climb and descend under control on moderately steep singletrack with loose rocks. Can ride with mild exposure at times. Would embrace more riding time and would consider taking a lesson to help prepare for the trip.
