Mountain Bike Adventure in Iceland
To visit Iceland is to witness the earth as it transforms itself before your eyes. On this amazing point-to-point hut adventure you'll ride singletrack in an intoxicating landscape amongst gushing geysers, bubbling mud, multicolored rhyolite mountains, expansive lava fields, natural hot springs and soaring glaciated mountains. You'll bathe in natural turquoise hot springs, spend nights in remote lodges in unreal locations and feast on delicious Icelandic cuisine. The raw natural energy on this trip will inspire you, and the party in Reykjavik at the end of this adventure will make you dance.
Day 1: Arrivals day
Arrive in Reykjavik, explore the city. Visit the Blue Lagoon? Rent city bikes? Go shopping & enjoy a nice lunch?
Day 2: Reykjadalur
Early transfer to our first ride, Reykjadalur, in Iceland's most powerful geothermal regions.
Day 3: Hekla
Ride the amazing Dómadalur region with its smooth grass-covered mountains and past Iceland's most active volcano, Hekla.
Day 4: Landmannalaugar
Ride up to Ljótipollur, an extinct volcanic crater and onto Landmannalaugar for a soak in an epic natural pool.
Day 5: Mind Blowing
This will be one of your best days on a mountain bike as you ride through mind-blowing mountain landscapes.
Day 6: Torfahlaup canyon
Ride to Thórsmörk via the Torfahlaup canyon to a mythical birch valley surrounded by steep mountains and tumbling glaciers.
Day 7: Eyjafjallajökull glacier
Ride to Fimmvörðuháls pass to the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and a beauty 12 km downhill past waterfalls on the river Skógá.
