Morocco, Dirt Merchant | Big Mountain Bike Adventures

Morocco, Dirt Merchant

Mountain Bike Holiday in Morocco

We begin this adventure in Marrakech, the stunning 1000 year-old ochre-colored city with a vibrant street life, a funky old Medina and chaos of cultures with a European flavour. Then it’s off to the highest mountain range in North Africa, the Atlas and their rugged, prehistoric, flat-topped peaks laced with dirt roads and trails still used by the nomadic Berbers. For eight days we’ll ride on singletrack, over passes that link small villages, at night we’ll sip mint tea and stare up at the blanket of stars in the desert sky.

Day 1: Welcome to Morocco.

Meet your guides at Marrakech airport and transfer to our hotel in the center of this fascinating city.

Day 2: Ourika Valley

A climb to a spectacular grey moonscape and big descent to the beautiful Ourika Valley.

Day 3: Oukaimeden station

Morning 4 x 4 shuttle to the Oukaimeden station for the trip's biggest descent, 1600 m.

Day 4: Big Landscapes

Start the day with a gentle climb. Expect big landscapes and an unforgettable pedal.

Day 5: Berber towns

Like south-western Utah except in North Africa. Today's adventure takes us through red mountains and remote Berber towns.

Day 6: Single Track Bliss

Today could be the best day of the trip with a single 28 km stretch of singletrack bliss.

A 20 km ride to end this amazing trip. Transfer to Marrakech and our traditional riad for last night festivities.

Day 7: Au revoir!

Transfer to the Marrakech airport for flights home. Bon voyage.

What our Guests Say:

“The riding rocked and our guides were absolutely incredible, they showed us many cool things and not just on the bikes.”
