Mountain Bike Adventure in Iceland

To visit Iceland is to witness the earth as it transforms itself before your eyes. On this amazing point-to-point hut adventure (the only one available in Iceland) you'll ride singletrack in an intoxicating landscape amongst gushing geysers, bubbling mud, multicolored rhyolite mountains, expansive lava fields, natural hot springs and soaring glaciated mountains. You'll bathe in natural turquoise hot springs, spend nights in remote lodges in unreal locations and feast on delicious Icelandic cuisine. The raw natural energy on this trip will inspire you, and the party in Reykjavik at the end of this adventure will surely make you dance.


Day 1: Arrive to Reykjavik. Explore the city. —

Arrive to Reykjavik at your leisure. Spend the day resting up from travels, building your bike up and exploring this vibrant city. Perhaps a soak in the Blue Lagoon? Or some shopping and a leisurely lunch?

Day 2: Transfer to the Highlands. Ride Landmannahellir. — 13 KM

 Meet this morning at Centre Hotel Klöpp for our Welcome Orientation. Then we hit the road for a 2.5 hour transfer to the Highlands. Our first ride is a short but challenging climb followed by a flowy singletrack descent to the front door of our hut.

Day 3: Ride Landmannalaugar — 45 KM

 Ride the truly amazing Landmannalaugar region, one of Iceland's most stunning. Bring a towel as we'll soak in a warm natural spring on route.

Day 4: Ride Hrafntinnusker — 50 KM

 Singletrack & doubletrack today as we cross fantastic landsapes to our hut located in a hidden valley behind the glacier of Tindfjallajökul

Day 5: Ride Emstrur — 35 KM

Start the ride on remote and challenging singletrack that's barely travelled by anyone. Then we pass Lake Alftavatn and onto our hut located near the canyons of the Markarfljót River.

Day 6: Ride Þórsmörk — 30 KM

This will be one of your best days on a mountain bike as you ride through mind-blowing mountain landscapes across the Þórsmörk valley to our hut situated in a mythical place on the slopes of the infamous Eyjafjallajökull volcano.

Day 7: Ride Fimmvörðuháls, transfer to Reykjavik. Vertu sæll! — 25 KM

Start the day with a steep climb (pedalling & hike-a-bike) to epic Fimmvörðuháls pass with views of glaciers and Iceland's freshest lava from the new volcanic craters Móði and Magni. Finish with a beauty descent past waterfalls on the river Skógá with views of the sea. Return transfer to your Reykjavik hotel for final night celebrations.
